March jobs report fails to impress


U.S. employers added 88,000 jobs to their payrolls in March, far short of economists' expectations of 200,000 jobs, according to the latest monthly report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The unemployment rate fell to 7.6 percent from 7.7 percent, but that was only because nearly 500,000 stopped looking for work in March.
