Solarize Madison project hires Rochester contractor

WAMPSVILLE — The Solarize Madison community-focused, renewable-energy program has selected Rochester–based Arista Power, Inc. as one of two contractors to install at least 30 solar-photovoltaic systems in Madison County.

Maffei seeks business-owner input in online survey


SYRACUSE — U.S. Representative Daniel Maffei (D–DeWitt) today announced he is seeking feedback from business owners in Central New York on ways to spur growth and hiring.

Maffei has released a 22-question online survey that includes questions about the challenges business owners face and what they need to grow and create more jobs, Maffei’s office said in a news release.

SBA announces pledge to increase lending to veteran entrepreneurs

NEW HARTFORD — PAR Technology Corp. (NYSE: PAR) today announced that BAE Systems, has awarded PAR subsidiary, Rome Research Corp. (RRC), a $9.5 million subcontract to work on a naval-communications program.

National Grid awards brownfield-remediation grant to Camillus Mills


Kenneth DalyCAMILLUS — National Grid today announced a grant of $300,000 that Camillus Mills will use for brownfield redevelopment at the former Camillus Cutlery factory in the village of Camillus.
