SU professor chosen as president of American Library Association

A professor at the Syracuse University School of Information Studies (iSchool) will be president of the American Library Association (ALA) next year.
Barbara Stripling, an assistant professor of practice, will become president-elect of the organization next month and assume the presidency for a one-year term in June 2013. ALA has 60,000 members including librarians, library trustees, and library supporters.
