Crouse Hospital gets funding for energy project

The New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) today announced an award of $360,000 for Crouse Hospital in Syracuse to pay for a lighting retrofit project.

The award, funded by the federal economic stimulus package, will save Crouse more than $100,000 per year in energy costs, Dr. Paul Kronenberg, CEO of Crouse Hospital, said in a news release.

	March jobs report fails to impress
	U.S. employers added 88,000 jobs to their payrolls in March, far short of economists' expectations of 200,000 jobs, according to the latest monthly report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The unemployment rate fell to 7.6 percent from 7.7 percent, but that was only because nearly 500,000 stopped looking for work in March.
