Federal, state dollars aid carbon storage research

A team of research institutions including Cornell University received $1.3 million to study the potential of storing gas emissions from power plants in underground rock formations.

The money comes from the U.S. Department of Energy. The initiative will also receive $250,000 in funding from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.


OASIS/HealthLink programs open in new site

The OASIS/HealthLink Learning Center has moved from ShoppingTown Mall in DeWitt to the former Telergy building, next to the DoubleTree Hotel, off Carrier Circle.

The new location gives OASIS/HealthLink 11,000 square feet of programming space, doubling the size of its original space in the mall.

St. Joseph's names new president and CEO

St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center today announced the appointment of Kathryn Howe Ruscitto as the hospital's 13th president and CEO.

She will replace Theodore Pasinski on Jan. 1.


UVC signs up Le Moyne as third founding partner
