NYSERDA awards funding for energy-storage projects

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) today awarded funding to Cornell University and Binghamton University for energy-storage projects.
The funding is part of $8 million NYSERDA awarded for 19 projects around the state. The projects could have applications in transportation, smart grids, renewable energy, and other areas, according to NYSERDA.
