This is an essential information source on leading buyers, businesses, and employers in our region, a perspective you can’t get anywhere else.

March 21 Nonprofit Awards - Nonprofit organizations (NPOs) are often recognized for their programs and volunteers who make our community stronger. What’s unusual is to recognize NPOs for their business performance.  The Business Journal and BizEventz will honor area nonprofit corporate executives and board members.  Award recipients will be honored for excellence, leadership, fiduciary responsibility, management practices, creativity, impact, and business acumen. Winners will be announced at the event.

There is a dramatic rise in cyber fraud targeting businesses and municipalities that engage in online banking and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments. You will learn essential tools needed to detect, deter, and defeat the cybercriminals that are after your organization’s assets!

May 16 A Time to BuildA Time to Build is a recognition program designed to honor those construction projects and partners that reflect excellence in craft and quality. June 27  Business Journal 500 - This event will be a premier networking breakfast for C suite management as well as debut of the BJ-500 publication. The BJ-500 is the first ever exclusive list for the top 500 companies in our region. The BJ-500 contains valuable information about the companies, including location, contact information, CEO, industry classification, number of employees, and annual revenues. It is cross-indexed by each category to serve as a handy reference guide. This premier networking event will include a keynote speaker during breakfast. The BJ-500 will be handed out to each attendee at the end of the event.

September 12  Healthy Workplace Awards - The Healthy Workplace Awards, a luncheon event, will honor companies who show exceptional dedication to creating a work environment that encourages healthy living among its employees. October 30 40 Under Forty - Our most popular event of the year! 40 Under Forty recognizes 40 ambitious, hard-working, civic-minded individuals, who are under the age of 40. These individuals have excelled in the workplace and in the community. This group demonstrates diverse backgrounds, experiences and skills; they thrive on active community involvement and appreciate the importance of their role in advancing public good. *In honor of this outstanding group of leaders a donation is made every year to a local nonprofit organization. This year’s recipient is 40 Below.*
